Caring and raising children is the responsibility of the whole community. A great model for us all. Children can have many Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles, this is built on First Nations kinship and skin name systems which is linked through moiety. A moiety is a belief system where everything is viewed as split into two mirrored halves, including people and the environment with an understanding of the universe requiring these two halves to come together in balance and harmony.
