Grandfather called me to come to the beach from my hut. It was just on sunrise he gathered sticks and dry seaweed and I joined him. Old Man then rolled a cigarette (ngarali) his long angelic fingers so gentle in the task, after lighting his cigarette he then lit the fire. As the smoke rose a Sea Eagle landed close to us. Grandfather pointed out to sea his voice mid range yelling "Hunter go". Hunter now flying disappeared around the point. The fire settled, the old man smoked, and soon Hunter returned carrying a large fish in his talons. Hunter dropped the fish between me and the Old Man and we cooked it on the coals. The three of us sharing breakfast together.
A month or a moon or so later I saw the Family with Hunter in the troopy (Toyota 4WD). "Where you going?" I asked.
"We're going to Darwin to see family."
"Why you taking Hunter?" I wanted to know, the answer perfect, "Because he is our Brother."
